The Catholic Church has been hiding the crime of pedophilia for over 1,000 years -- since the Holy See-No-Evil mandated a celibate clergy. Except for times of war, when seminaries are flooded with the subjects of newfound vocations, the priesthood calls very few men who do not have serious problems with their sexual identity -- again, the fault of the brainwashing by said celibate clergy.

According to National Public Radio, settlements for clergy abuse are in excess of $300 million. In the Diocese of Altoona-Johnstown alone, the amount paid out in civil litigation is staggering. Bishop Joe Adamec must be holding his breath, crossing his fingers, and fingering his beads constantly to ward off any more disclosures of unspeakable actions by the priests under his command.

Meanwhile, the church continues to inflate its census figures in order to obtain more and more federal funds for programs that should be handled in a secular setting. Annual income of Catholic Charities is $2.69 billion, 67% of which ($180 billion) comes from our tax dollars.

In an area of high unemployment, St. Michael's Basilica in Loretto used labor from FCI-Loretto inmates to rehab the church -- compliments of the taxpayers!

Within this same diocese, some residents in the Borough of Loretto would like to have a saint of their very own. They have proposed for canonization Fr. Demetrius Gallitzin, aka Fr. Augustine Smith, aka Prince Demetrius Gallitzin.

My question for the good Catholics of Loretto is this: How do you know that Gallitzin wasn't also a sexual predator?

I posted two 4'x8' signs on a vacant lot near the Basilica. The one facing the church read:

WHO BUT A CRIMINAL
--flees his country
--abandons his assets
--assumes an alias
Was Gallitzin a PEDOPHILE?

Facing the parochial school, the sign read:

St. Mike's Boys:
Would you have been safe with Fr. "Smith"?
